Hair Care and Skin Cre for women over 50

You still have to take care of gray hair You cannot neglect it and have it look fantastic. With the proper food, vitamins,  and appropriate care such as  regular cuts, nourishing shampoos and conditioners and the  an  hair mask, now and again. Gray hair tends to be drier and coarser than hair that has retained pigment. Gray hair left  unaided will not have the magnitude of the awesome a statement statement it can make about how you feel about who you are inside.

.

Look how vital and alive this model looks with a simple bob hair style and simple makeup.

Your hair is your crowning glory. Look after it and it will shine for all the world to see. You don’t always need expensive treatments, or visits to a hair salon to manage your hair professionally. There’s so much you can do yourself.

A good night's sleep does make a difference to our skin, as it repairs and restores itself while we rest. Lack of sleep makes the skin appear dull and lifeless, and accentuates dark circles under the eyes. Hair looks dull and lifeless.

2.  2. Concealing dark circles with much lighter concealer never works. It will only make you look will emphasize wrinkles and moisturizer,   moisturizer, moisturizer.  Nothing plumps up the skin better than hydration. And it helps everything glide on better: your concealer, foundation, sunscreen, blush, everything.3.  For shiny, healthy hair think first of your body’s intake. Your hair is really just a reflection of what you are inside. A good balanced, nutritious and healthy diet will do more to make your hair shine than any shampoo or conditioner. And drink eight to ten glasses of water a day too; hair is 25% water, so don’t let yours go thirsty! WaterDo you love to swim?  Before you take the plunge, keep in mind that chlorine and saltwater are two of the quickest ways to wind up with dry hair.  Here’s a cool trick that lots of swimmers use to prevent damage from chlorine and saltwater before getting into the pool or ocean:  fill a spray bottle and mist your hair with regular water, comb a rich conditioner through your hair and cover it with a swim cap.  This will help prevent your hair from absorbing too much chlorine—which can dry and damage hair—while you’re in the water.  After swimming, shampoo and re-condition your hair.  The conditioner and swim cap will protect your hair from damaging pool chemicals or saltwater and you even get a bonus conditioning treatment that’s great for dry hair!Diet
3.  Poor nutrition can result in dry, brittle hair—dietary deficiencies definitely rob hair of its shine. A balanced diet that includes protein and essential vitamins and minerals will help dry hair look healthier.  Among the most important ingredients for avoiding dry hair are:·         Vitamin A.  This vitamin moisturizes the scalp and prevents dryness.  Find it in salmon, herring, carrots, red peppers, spinach, butternut squash, sweet potatoes and apricots.·         Vitamin B5. This is a “must” for healthy, shiny hair.  It’s found in nuts, eggs and brown rice.·         Protein.  Not only essential for your hair, protein is also important for your overall health. Add lean sources of protein to your diet by eating chicken, turkey, lean beef, fish, eggs, nuts and seeds.·         Healthy fats.  Necessary for hair health, these help keep hair shiny and luminous.  “Good” fats can be found in tuna, nuts, seeds, olive oil and avocado.
2. Dry your hair after washing in the ambient temperature of your room after using an absorbent towel to soak up the excess moisture, but don’t rub hard. If possible, don’t use blow-drying, flat irons, curling irons or hot rollers. Artificial heating will leave your hair brittle and damaged in time. Be natural whenever you can.

4.  Prevent unnecessary hair damage by using the right kind of hairbrush. Only comb wet hair with a wide-tooth comb, combing from end to root, but avoiding touching the root. Detangling wet hair with a hard steel comb can create a lot of damage, so don’t!

5.  Remove trichoptlosis, or split ends, like this: take small sections of your hair and carefully twist them in a gentle downward motion. The split ends will stick out. Using sharp scissors, carefully cut into the twisted section, but not right through, to remove the damaged cuticles and leave a natural layered look. Cut roughly the same amount from each twist to balance the effect.

5. Hair loss can be slowed, or even reversed by applying a few simple tips, though they probably won’t cure an underlying condition. Biotin can help to regenerate hair follicles: blend bananas with honey, yogurt and low-fat milk, and drink it daily. Supplements such as Vitamin B6, zinc and saw palmetto will help too, but eliminating stress and getting plenty of sleep may work just as well.
. Swiss Chard

One of the wonder supplements on the market that can improve the quality of your hair is biotin. Biotin, also known as B7, is important for basic body function. Getting an ample supply of biotin can make your hair and nails grow at a very accelerated rate. It can take months to see the full results. Swiss chard is one of the best natural sources of biotin.
We are all obsessed with our hair, whether we are 9 or 90, male or female. Look after yourself first and foremost and your hair will reflect that care and attention. The Biblical Samson’s strength lay in his fine flowing hair. Your hair reflects your strength too.

. Salmon

It can be said that healthy hair comes from the scalp. Give your scalp a health makeover by eating salmon regularly. Salmon is high in Omega-3 fatty acids. This nutrient helps balance the oils in your body, reducing flakiness and itching on your head. Other foods high in Omega-3’s are sardines, trout, and flaxseeds.
Chicken Livers

Choosing a bathing suit for the woman over 50

Many women over 50 find they are not comfortable in their own skins and as the age, they have even more trouble being seen in a bathing suit in public. This society has build up young women and made older women invisible. So, shopping for a bathing suit for women over 50 can cause some women embarrassment even emotional pain. They want to be fit, play in the water with family and look good, however, they are just so uncomfortable.

Of course as an older woman I realize it is only my problem because I allowed society to rent space in my head. We believe somehow that aging makes us unattractive, when what we should be thinking is age brings a new kind of beauty. How will society ever learn about this new beauty unless we teach them.

We are way too hard on ourselves judging our bodies unmercifully. Also shopping for a fashionable, comfortable swim suit is much harder than need be. the bathing suit corner of fashion has begun to offer a better selection of swim suits for women over 50.

No matter what your shape, age or size now you can find a suit for you. Now you can find a suit that, enhance a small bust or support a large one. It also offers designs that hide hips. Here are 3 things to do to find the right suit for you:
1. If you are dealing with spandex buy it a size bigger. Nothing looks worse than a big roll of fat caused by too tight spandex.

2. Buy a suit that enhances your best qualities. If you have a nice bust line but you are large breasted choose a suit with a good built-in bra. If you are small breasted maybe wear a tank top with a built in bra and boy shorts. Be innovative this is the perfect time in life to be non-traditional.
3. Boy-shorts cover more of the thigh. IF you have good looking legs then wear a french cut bottom make your legs look longer. If you have a bulgy tummy buy a suit with built-in tummy control. Wear perhaps a halter top and swim shorts

F You can wear running shorts or tank tops with built in bras, or swimming shorts with a halter top or t-shirt. Wear solid colored bottoms to make the hips and tummy look smaller and a cries-cross floral top that make your breasts look large your tummy. With one-piece, skirt bottoms and swim shorts, the fashion industry offers a lot of covers that are so attractive.

You can remove cover-ups when you are settled on your towel and have made your entrance comfortably. Here are some great examples. Try , shortinis, tankinis and swimdresses. Buy a beautiful cover-up.  Just have fun and be comfortable in your own skin.

Colors, Feeling Good Shining Through, Choosing a shade of colors

My new store Bjewelu.com has the philosophy don't try and be younger, try and be you.  Most of the articles I read about older women say this is the way to look younger, personally, I just want to be the age I am and look good.  I read one article about she wanted to dye her hair as she felt young inside.  Well, sister so do I, but that is a truth of the soul is meant to live forever, but not the body. I happen to think dying my hair is a chore I no longer want to preform.  I can enhance the hair color I have with wash in products that are good for my hair.  Well, this is covered in hair colors for women over 50.
So, let's talk about colors in general for bit.

Fashion - Why do women and beauty products work well together, the answer to that is quite simple, cosmetics make you look beautiful and women want to be beautiful so there you have it - a match made in heaven - the perfect duo
Today`s fashion and latest shades in lipstick is no guarantee to looking beautiful if you are not feeling good about yourself.
This is bubblegum perfect color for me as it will not wash you out.

It`s a funny old world - the fashion world. Take those glamour models that grace the catwalk with the latest in fashion design - only to go and mess the entire look of the whole  outfit with an expression of depression along with a ridiculous unbalanced walk like that of a woman who has just downed 10 pints of lager - now where is the beauty in that I ask you.

Remember never to imitate the pose of a model on a night out with friends because that friendship may just cease and heaven forbid if you are looking for a date with the opposite sex - then the chances of that happening are zilch. If you want to impress then it is all down to how you dress. You will always be at your best if you feel good. A smile radiates beauty so regardless of what the fashion it is you adorn - be sure to smile and that is half of the battle won in feeling good and looking beautiful

Why is it you wear the same colors when you go out? Why is it you feel that a certain color is not ideally suited to your complexion even though it is in fashion? Well now is the time to change all that. Today's fashionable colors are just oozing to expel your beauty within. Positive results are guaranteed after you have boosted your confidence into looking beautiful with the latest in fashion styles and colors.
I have worn this color of olive for years but then I was a redhead, I will have to rethink this color maybe add a gold scarf around my face or even red silk.
For example if you are not partial to the color green or orange up next to the skin, well that is fine, but,  at the time you decided this color was not for you, did you ever give it a minutes thought that it was just that particular shade of green that you were not comfortable with. Remember there are 40 shades of green, now do you get my drift. Now as for orange - a color that does need to be given much thought behind for a person`s skin tone - but if you like orange then dress it up with accessories to compliment the shade itself - this will work wonders.

Just by changing the shade of one particular color and style of dress can be the start of finding the real beauty within. Your inner beauty may have lain static for far to long all because you took for granted that the first bright lime green luminous blouse you ever tried on was not for you, therefore leaving you resisting future fashion garments in green, But did you ever consider  replacing that lime green blouse for pretty cowl neck musky jade shade.. Also a change of hairstyle can alter your whole image along with the color that you banished from the wardrobe.

It is sad - but there are many women who are confused and believe that a certain color does them no justice - when at the end of the day it may have been their choice in the shade.

Fall-Winter 2015-16:fashion  this year is from 70s Boho, to Dreamy Victorian,  Wide-ranging  fashion is good news for those of us on fixed incomes or just tired of the fashion industry's ceaseless changes. Style, on the other, hand outshines fashions that come and go. So as you read the Fashion After 50 rehashed of the latest winter fashion for 2015-2016, think about how to unmistakably show the world your inner self.
Well, I felt it was time for some soft femininity, you know a silk or cashmere dress.  Maybe even a little lace. But, what I found on the rack were so short that they made the mini's I wore in the 60's lookn long. The mid-calf dresses looked like something my Grandma would wear.  They were down right dull.  So, what is a woman to do? I either want a soft dusty rose in silk or a bright lolipop red finally found the red one at Norstrom's.  I  blew my whole fall and winter clothes budget on it, but it is classic enough to wear with some small alteration to wear for several years.  It is bright enough I will not look washed out.  I have really good legs and it comes right at my knee. So it shows off some of my best assets.

3 Tips on finding the right fashions when you are in your 50's or even 60's

The issue isn't looking agreeable in you're more than 50's or 60's skin: being brainy, mature, gives one a satisfaction and a knowing what you want to wear and what you most definitely do not want is a plus. It can give you the ability to be a trend-setter the test is basically discovering those cutting edge garments to fit your way of life, spending plan and figure.
Experts may push appearance as being ageless, yet that is no comfort when you need to pick through racks of wrap around dresses that were meant to wear braless, or mini dress made of spandex, and low-cut pants to discover styles you would wear much less love on your body. Staying on top of fashions may also be troublesome as many fashion magazines show only models in there teens and early 20's. When they do address the problem, they assume we all want to look younger. Creators of fashion lines usually show clothes on young models. That will change with time as the baby boomers are now over 65 and people over 65 are among the richest in the world. They do not all have flat stomachs and buff arms. The mysterious "they," say money talks, and it will not be the young teen or early 20's crowd spending that money. Ii may appear you will never in this sea of young people's clothes find something just for you, but do not give up hope.
Here are some tips to make you look stylish and chic without looking like your daughter:
Not my daughters jeans $47.00 this week only
Levi Denzion at Target $27.00
1. Old lady jeans. Narrow legged jeans the worst elastic waist, baggy butt– a.k.a. old lady jeans – are unflattering and outdated, you can change this in a flash my favorite are Levi, tall with a little stretch, size 12 fit me best. They look really good and allow for a little tummy room. They are long enough too. Although, shorter jeans with heels are in, I prefer a longer jean. and I wear wedges with them instead of heels.from affordable If I want dress jeans or upscale Not Your Daughter's Jeans hit the spot with sensual fabrics like a auroa red or lush and elegant, the teal hue of Biscay Bay silk, blouse, those are top rate colors for me. Other sensual fabrics include cashmere in wine, midnight blue and Marsala wine hue, olive green coloring of the Dried Herb hues, dusty rose is one of my favorites this fall. Watch your colors some colors make us, more mature ladies look washed out.
2. Your handbag can date you: . Have a ton of fun with your handbag choose vibrant colors rose, red, turquoise, by attempting exuberant hues and diverse shapes. I have a 60's tuquoise suede, fringed bag, small under the arm, added a sterling silver road runner pin to it. Sometimes I tie a silk scarf to a handbag. Shoulder packs that fit under the armpit (not very minor or enormous) are by and large the most complimentery.
Do's and Don'ts 1. Try not to get excessively thin, my Mama used to say, " A lady has decide after 50 if she wants her face or her fanny to look good." and don't put on an excess of weight. Try to work out a minimum of 3 times a week, making health your goal not weight. Try to keep an hour glass figure as that is how most clothes are made.
2. Try not to wear loose, ill-defined garments. Always have a good seamstress on hand who can alter things to fit you. Or whip you up a little something you had in mind.
3. Have a good hair, stylist. Keep your hair in tip-top health. Be open to change and keep your hair as stylish as your clothes. Think youthful. Be unusual. Nothing dates you more than your hairstyle. How to Find The Most Awesome Medium Length haircut Cut for you Finding the Right Shoulder-length cut for you depends on 3 things:
Your hair texture. Whether you have curly, fine, coarse, frizzy, straight or just plain finicky hair, there will be a medium cut that works on you.
Your face shape. The same goes for face shape. Some cuts flatter some face shapes better than others. Your personality. If you consider yourself edgy, laid-back, hip, sophisticated, classic, trendy, let's find the right cut for you. In this photo gallery, I feature my all-time favorite medium hairstyles on older women. I include long bobs, wavy hair and pin straight cuts. You'll see how bangs can take years off a face and why layers can both lighten thick hair and add loads of body to fine hair. I personally prefer a shoulder length style. I hate generic unisex styles a lot of hair-dressers try to pawn off on you. Or the hair-dresser, who wants to style your hair a certain way and will not listen to you.
Find a hair dresser you can trust. Get recommendations from friendss, co-workers. church members. If their hair looks nice and they have a modern cut, you probably will like their hair dresser. Ask them what they like about their hair-dresser. Ask what he/she charges and what is included. Decide what is top for your budget. It is really embarrassing to find out after the person has done your hair you just blew the entire months spending money. Do get the latest style for your hair. Ask your hair-dresser's advise on products, styles, and hair jewelry. More next week on looking smarter and more elegant at any age.
