Choosing a bathing suit for the woman over 50

Many women over 50 find they are not comfortable in their own skins and as the age, they have even more trouble being seen in a bathing suit in public. This society has build up young women and made older women invisible. So, shopping for a bathing suit for women over 50 can cause some women embarrassment even emotional pain. They want to be fit, play in the water with family and look good, however, they are just so uncomfortable.

Of course as an older woman I realize it is only my problem because I allowed society to rent space in my head. We believe somehow that aging makes us unattractive, when what we should be thinking is age brings a new kind of beauty. How will society ever learn about this new beauty unless we teach them.

We are way too hard on ourselves judging our bodies unmercifully. Also shopping for a fashionable, comfortable swim suit is much harder than need be. the bathing suit corner of fashion has begun to offer a better selection of swim suits for women over 50.

No matter what your shape, age or size now you can find a suit for you. Now you can find a suit that, enhance a small bust or support a large one. It also offers designs that hide hips. Here are 3 things to do to find the right suit for you:
1. If you are dealing with spandex buy it a size bigger. Nothing looks worse than a big roll of fat caused by too tight spandex.

2. Buy a suit that enhances your best qualities. If you have a nice bust line but you are large breasted choose a suit with a good built-in bra. If you are small breasted maybe wear a tank top with a built in bra and boy shorts. Be innovative this is the perfect time in life to be non-traditional.
3. Boy-shorts cover more of the thigh. IF you have good looking legs then wear a french cut bottom make your legs look longer. If you have a bulgy tummy buy a suit with built-in tummy control. Wear perhaps a halter top and swim shorts

F You can wear running shorts or tank tops with built in bras, or swimming shorts with a halter top or t-shirt. Wear solid colored bottoms to make the hips and tummy look smaller and a cries-cross floral top that make your breasts look large your tummy. With one-piece, skirt bottoms and swim shorts, the fashion industry offers a lot of covers that are so attractive.

You can remove cover-ups when you are settled on your towel and have made your entrance comfortably. Here are some great examples. Try , shortinis, tankinis and swimdresses. Buy a beautiful cover-up.  Just have fun and be comfortable in your own skin.
